What To Expect
Discover the most tragic part of New York's history, the 9/11 terrorist attack with your expert tour guide who was there that day. Hear his personal stories and those of other New Yorkers. This tour will be initiated with meetups with your local tour guide at a designated meeting point.
Start the tour with a visit to the St. Paul's Chapel, the oldest building that stands in New York City. This church is famous for surviving the 9/11 attack even with its 1 block away proximity. It was used as a temporary shelter for the wounded during the attack and has remained a tribute to the disastrous event ever since.
Visit the Firefighter's 9/11 Memorial Wall which depicts the bravery of the firefighters during the time of the attack. More than 300 firemen were killed during this attack, making it one of the saddest moments in the history of firemen.
Head out into the 9/11 Memorial where you can pray and marvel at the beautiful sight of the Reflecting Absence Memorial, a man-made waterfalls built as tribute to the 3,000 victims of the attack. Names of these people are engraved on the ledges that guard this memorial, reminding everyone that these people once walked the earth too. You may roam around as long as you would like around this memorial.
Finally, visit the 9/11 Museum which is contains more than 4,000 remnants and artifacts from the event. Here, you can see the clothes, shoes, I.Ds, and the other belongings of the victims. You will also see the fire truck and ambulance that the firefighters used before the towers fell to the ground. Watch testimonies of those who survived and those from the relatives of the deceased as they commemorate each and every one they know that was victimized by this tragedy.
