What To Expect
Enjoy an intimate and authentic sailing experience on a vintage vessel while taking in New York's magnificent harbor. This 90-minute day sail offer the perfect opportunity to sit back, relax while you take in close-up views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Manhattan skyline.
Shearwater was hand-built in 1929 from native hardwoods. The 82-foot schooner is a throwback to a bygone era of yachting. Having sailed around the world twice and called over half a dozen major ports home in her time on the water, Shearwater has been taking New Yorkers and the city's visitors sailing in the harbor since 2001. She was named a national historic landmark in 2009 and her gorgeous original teak deck and mahogany interior are a testament to the beautiful handiwork not seen on more modern sailing ships.
