What To Expect
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the views of the stunning Manhattan skyline as we sail effortlessly through the waters of the Hudson River. We'll set sail with our informative wine expert, who each week introduces a variety of wines picked from some of America's oldest and best-known cellars. Casual, fun and informative, you'll be guided through new tastes and flavors, expanding your palate and pairing great wines with snacks and cheese.
Shearwater was hand-built in 1929 from native hardwoods. The 82-foot schooner is a throwback to a bygone era of yachting. Having sailed around the world twice and called over half a dozen major ports home in her time on the water, Shearwater has been taking New Yorkers and the city's visitors sailing in the harbor since 2001. She was named a national historic landmark in 2009 and her gorgeous original teak deck and mahogany interior are a testament to the beautiful handiwork not seen on more modern sailing ships.
