Kyoto Afternoon from Osaka

Start the day off with a train ride from Osaka to Kyoto, Japan's capital from 794 to 1868. Visit Heian Jingu Shrine, a partial replica of the Imperial Palace. Walk through Sanjusangendo Temple, Japan's longest wooden structure, famous for its 1,001 human sized Kannon Statues. Browse the specialty shops on the walk up to Kiyomizudera Temple, where you will have a sweeping view of the city.

Osaka - Kyoto
Leave Osaka for Kyoto aboard a JR rapid train (non-reserved seats) with an English-Speaking tour conductor.

Heian Jingu Shrine
Graceful old court life is reflected in the brightly colored shrine with its vermilion pillars and green roof, and in its enchanting inner gardens and ponds.

Sanjusangendo Hall
A renowned long wooden hall housing 1,001 statues of the Buddhist deity Kannon that date back to the 13th century.

Kiyomizudera Temple
A quaint old lane lined with pottery shops leads to the temple. Enjoy a sweeping view of the entire city from its lofty terrace.

Kyoto - Osaka
Return to Osaka aboard a JR rapid train (non-reserved seats) with an English-Speaking tour conductor. Train tickets from pick-up hotel to Kyoto and Kyoto to JR Osaka Station are included in the tour fare.

Tour ends upon arrival at JR Osaka Station around 18:30.

Please note
- Journey between Osaka and Kyoto will be accompanied by an English-speaking tour assistant and use public transportation(JR train).
- Heian Shrine will be replaced by Chishaku-in Temple on October 22, during Jidai Festival when closed to the public.
- Pick-up service from Kyoto Hotel Okura is not available on the day of Gion Festival(July17) and Jidai Festival(October 22) due to the traffic restriction.
- Drop-off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel is not available on the days of Gion Festival(July 14-16).
- Connection to Kyoto Special Night Tour is made at Kyoto Hotel Okura.
- Connection to Kyoto Maiko Night Tour is made at New Miyako Hotel or the Kiyomizu Temple parking lot.

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
