Les Invalides is officially known as L'Hotel national des Invalides (The National Residence of the Invalids). It is made up of a complex of buildings in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, France, containing museums and monuments which are all related to the military history of France.

As a privileged visitor with special access, visit the Grand Salon* and the Ornano Salons, the magnificent reception halls of the Army Museum. Then continue on to the Cathedral Saint-Louis des Invalides and the Caveau des Gouverneurs, areas that are normally closed to the public.

Hear stories related to the French Revolution and the mysterious presence of Rouget de Lisle at Les Invalides. This guided tour ends at the monumental Dome Church, a military pantheon housing the final resting places of Turenne, Vauban, Foch, Lyautey, and Napoleon I under its magnificent golden cupola.

Know about the unusual work involved in building the Dome des Invalides, about the extraordinary Napoleon statue, and about legends surrounding the Emperor's death in 1821 on the island of St. Helena.
