What To Expect
Go on an exciting tour around the natural island of Ile de la Cité and discover the majestic interiors of the Sainte Chapelle and the Notre Dame Cathedral!
Start off the tour with a walk around the Ile de la Cite, an island located in the middle of the Seine River, another popular attraction to tourists in Paris. As you stroll around the island, hear stories about monarchs and political mutinies that have changed the course of history.
Next, come to the Notre Dame Cathedral, a cathedral that boasts of its intricate flying buttresses, an elegant rose window, and its highly attractive Gothic architecture. Get to know why the famous author, Victor Hugo, used this cathedral as an inspiration for his novel, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Admire its stone gargoyles, soaring spires, bell towers, monumental organ and many more upon your visit. Learn about the cathedral's colorful history from its construction to how it is today.
Finally, visit the Sainte Chapelle using a skip-the-line ticket to separate you from the long queues and crowds. Built in 1248, this beautiful 12th century chapel is home to over 6,500 square feet 13th century stained glass, two-thirds of which are recently-restored originals. Originally built to become King Louis IX's royal chapel, it soon became sort of a reliquary as he purchased a wide variety of relics such as the Crown of Thorns and a piece of the True Cross.
