Mont-Saint Michel Day Trip + Hotel pick-up and drop-off

Officially inscribed as a World Heritage Site in 1979, Mont Saint Michel is best known for the well-preserved Norman Benedictine Abbey of St. Michel, its medieval architecture, and shifting shores that disappears upon high tide. It is linked to the mainland via a seawall. This Western Marvel is unique in the world and dredging works are constantly being carried out to ensure that the bay keeps its unique maritime characteristic.

To get to Mont Saint Michel, you’ll drive through Normandy. Your guide will tell you about the varied history of this region while you soak in the beauty of its landscape. Then you will discover the Mont St Michel.

Upon your arrival on the Mont, you will have lunch at the “Terrasses Poulard” (or in another restaurant in case of overcrowding) and taste the famous Mont Saint-Michel omelette.

The afternoon starts with a guided visit to the Abbey. Built on a rocky islet, it was a great cultural centre and a pilgrimage destination in the Middle-Ages. You will admire the gothic buildings built in succession over the centuries, notably the cloister and the monks’ refectory.

After visiting the abbey, there’ll be free time to wander through the steep and narrow paths, admire the bay and visit the village.
