What To Expect
At 17:15, begin the evening with an introduction to French wine set in an old underground cellar near the Pompidou Center. Sip and savor different varieties of reds and whiles as your wine expert tell you about the wine-growing regions of France, such as Burgundy, Loire Valley, Bordeaux, and Cote du Rhone. You'll learn about the main components of taste, the importance of grape selection, and how aging affects the taste and quality of wine.
After the tasting, a car will be waiting to transport you to the Latin Quarter where you're booked for a 19:00 dinner at a Fondue bistro near Rue Moufftard.
Walk off the delicious meal, with a short leisurely walk towards the Seine river to Rue de la Huchette where one of the most famous traditional Jazz clubs in Paris are located. Entrance starts at 21:30, the music at 22:15 when a jazz band plays for regulars and visitors every night. Stay as long as you wish, taking in the lively atmosphere. This is where the world's greatest jazzmen have performed regularly since 1946.
Celebrate with the best boppers in the tradition of Saint-Germain des Pres jazz. The venue is sure to remind you of the glory days of the Cotton Club and the Savoy. This is not-to-be-missed experience for jazz novices, professional musician, and everyone in between.
