By combining Perth Highlights and Swan Valley with Wineries & Wildlife, you can discover Perth in a day - city highlights, Fremantle and Swan Valley. You will be returned to the city for free time/lunch (at your own expense) before rejoining your coach for our afternoon tour of Australian wildlife, wine tasting and chocolates.
In the morning, you will take a tour of the city. First is King's Park, which provides spectacular views over Perth's skyline, Perth river and Melville Water from the tree top walk. You will then head to Cottesloe Beach on the Indian Ocean Coastline, before traveling to stunning and historic Freemantle. Here, you can see the docks, marinas and the charming heritage sandstone buildings. You will also be given some free time, where you can enjoy some coffee on South Terrace's cappucino strip.
You will also get to visit the upmarket suburbs of Peppermint Grove and Dalkeith, Barrack Street Jetty, The Swan Bell Tower, Perth Mint (where you can see stunning sandstone colonial architecture) and the Old Swan Brewery and Royal Perth Yacht Club, which was once home to the Americas Cup.
For those who opt to join the river cruise, you will be picked up from Barrack Street Jetty and taken back to the Departure Point for lunch afterward.
After your free time for lunch, you will head for The Swan Valley, Western Australia's first wine growing region, and see colonial towns and crafts. You will also visit Caversham Wildlife Park for an up-close encounter with Australian animals. You can meet and pat a koala, pat a wombat and feed the kangaroos. At Tumblegum farm, you can can watch a sheep shearing demonstration, learn whip cracking and enjoy billy tea at Tumblegum farm. You can taste premium Swan Valley wines at Sandalford Winery and visit Margaret River Chocolate Company to sample fine locally made chocolates or enjoy their famous hot chocolate and delectable truffles (at own expense). What a treat! At the end of the day, you will return to the city via the Burswood Resort and Casino.
