What To Expect
We meet after dark at the foot of the Castle hill, and we hop on a romantic tram up the hill.
We enter the Castle Grounds through the garden gate designated as Prague's freedom symbol by Vaclav Havel - the man who single-handedly overthrew Communism in 1989.
We walk to Prague's most spectacular belvedere and contemplate the city below, reaching past the river and the Charles bridge and into the Old Town. The main landmarks are all illuminated, as are the spires of the many extravagant baroque churches.
We walk round the reception grounds, grandly lit up - the residence of the presidency, Saint-Vitus Cathedral, and the Parliament rooms - the keeper of the magical power that Czechs say even Hitler could not overcome.
We peek through the lit-up windows. Against the night, we discover the headless horseman, the house of Dr. Faust and the magical flames. We then move away from the reception grounds and into the Castle's backstage section - winding alleyways, old prisons and prostitution houses. We end the tour on a spectacular, vast plaza near the Loretta monastery. The guide shares tips about nightlife and other Prague attractions before walking you, at your request, to a cab or to public transportation.
