Know more about the city founder at the Princess Eulalia Park and see the historic Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Adjacent to the cathedral is the Plaza Cuartel, an understated park of paramount historical importance as it is the site of Palawan Massacre, where 150 American prisoners were burned alive by Japanese soldier during the WWI.
Stop at the Mendoza Park, a recreation area named after a war hero of Palawan and a favorite hangout place among the locals. See the unique Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm, a sanctuary of prisoners where they toil the farm unguarded and make handcrafted wooden souvenirs. Marvel at the breathtaking view of the city landscape and Honda Bay from Mitra's Ranch.
Explore the Baker's Hill, a beautifully designed park hemmed with life-sized statues and well-manicured garden which offers deliciously baked goodies for visitors.
Find handcrafted and traditionally weaved souvenirs like hats, wallets, bags and more at Binuatan Weaving Creation. You may also participate in a hands on experience and demonstration in traditional weaving.
Then, visit the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center. Formerly known as the Crocodile Farming Institute, the conservation center features a crocodile farm, a veterinary care facility specializing in sick and injured crocodiles and a mini-zoo that features various species endemic to Palawan.
