What To Expect
After pick up from the cruise pier, you will be transferred to Antigua where you will meet your guide and start your city tour.
Upon arrival, we'll start with a walking tour and visit one of the most important churches in the city, the La Merced Church. Then we head to Santa Catalina Arch, a distinguished landmark which originally connected the Santa Catalina convent to a school which allowed the nuns to pass from one building to another without going on the street. We'll end the walking tour at Central Park and appreciate the exterior of the Cathedral of San Jose and the General Captain Palace.
Next, we transfer to Kawilal Hot Spring for some rest and relaxation. The hot springs' thermal waters and steams come from the mixed fire and heat from the Pacaya Volcano. The area has a complex that promotes sustainable tourism in the country and consists of 12 thermal pools, a thermal circuit, 25 steam baths, and 3 hydrotherapy baths. The SPA services offers relaxing massages, reflexology, manicure and pedicure among others. Inside the complex is Fonda Del Castillo, a restaurant with international with fast food service.
We'll have lunch here after your afternoon of pampering before we return to Puerto Quetzal back to your cruise.
