What To Expect
Depart to the attractive island of Chiloé to see the rich tradition and culture of its locals.
Navigate your way across the Canal de Chacao for half an hour from the town of Pargua. As you sail across the canal, admire the sea lions and birds around. Once you've reached the town of Chacao, visit its Church and Public Square.
Head over to the creek of Caulin where the locals farm for oysters, seafood, and seaweed. The coastal town of Caulin is best known for its bay where various birds such as herons, flamingos, and the rare black necked swans flock to. Tourists all delight in staying at this town's bay not just for the diverse types of birds they will get to watch, but also its scrumptious world class oysters.
Sail through the southwest coast of Chiloé to see a colony of Magellanic and Humboldt penguins residing on some of the Pacific Ocean islets. Delight in seeing the Magellanic penguins, a breed of South American penguins that dig burrows as nests. Observe the Humboldt penguins, a breed of penguins that looks similar to the Magellanic penguins, only darker on the head.
Finally, the tour will end in Ancud City where you will enjoy a hearty lunch (not included in the tour price). This beautiful city is defined by its majestic natural surroundings, excellent seafood cuisines, and hospitable locals.
