What To Expect
On Day 1, we will hike along a scenic path on the Reykjadalur Valley famous for its natural hot springs. on this easy 7-kilometer trek, we will look for a "hot" river formed from hot water as it goes down the slopes. See the different kinds of hot springs in the area and have an opportunity to sit and relax in some of the hot springs before hiking your wack back down the valley.
Day 2 includes a jeep tour into Þórsmörk - the glacier valley of the thundergod, Thor. We'll drive through the site of the Eyjafjallajökull Glacier eruption in 2010 and hike up to the fairly young volcanoes of Móði & Magni. This challenging hike will allow you to see unparalleled views of Þórsmörk Valley, its surroundings and glacier rivers.
On the third day, we'll slow things down a bit. You'll have free time to explore Reykjavik on your own in the morning. In the afternoon, you'll have time to visit in the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. Here you can dip in the mineral rich milky blue waters and have a relaxing time.
We will have another hike on the last day of this trip. Visit Snæfellsjökull Glacier, standing at 1,450 meters, this glacier is one of the most picturesque mountains in Iceland and will provide you with astonishing views.
Thursday - Hike to the Reykjadalur Valley and bathe in the area's natural hot springs.
Friday - Hike from Þórsmörk to Móði & Magni Volcanoes.
Saturday - Reykjavik City Sightseeing and a visit to the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa.
Sunday - Hike on the Snæfellsjökull Glacier.
