Skip the Line Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and Raphael's Rooms

Herb L., Australia
Apart from the escalators at the beginning of the tour there are numerous sets of steps up and throughout making it difficult for phyically impaired and elderly tourists. However, the Papal Blessing tour consisted of a 3 hour walk through Rome and when you arrive at St Peter's square you are dumped and have to make your own arrangements along with 1000's of others.

Debra P., United Kingdom
Excellent guide brought the history of the Vatican and it's works of art to life. Loved it.

Jun X.,
Very helpful and responsive customer service. I was traveling and couldn't print the booking reference, and then they helped me by informing the local agency that I can just show it via my iPhone within 24 hours, small thing but let go a lot of stress. The trip itself was wonderful. Alex was a very friendly and knowledgable guide, after a 3 hours tour we could choose to stay in the Vatican Museum for further discovering.

Richard W., Netherlands
We had Eliza show us around the Vatican: Excellent!

Paulo A., Portugal
Vatican Museum is big and wonderful, but visit it with a guide is the best option! Our guide was very nice.

Deborah G., USA
Our guide, who was an art student, gave us information we never would have gotten on our own. She told us interesting stories about the artists which led to better understanding of the art works. She was careful to make sure everyone was engaged-especially the children in the group. This was time and money well spent.

LEONARDO M., Brazil
The guide Adonai was kind and answered all of questions we have done. It is one of the most important excursions for people which are interested in art and history. I loved it.

Eric N., USA
Wonderful guide who was extremely knowledgable and fun! Vatican City is Awesome!!

SATURIA O., Spain
percto. maría nos fue contando durante 3 horas desde lo imprescindible hasta los minimos detalles

Luciano D., Brazil
Wonderful and enchanting. Our guide Francesca was great and gave us a precious lecture of the whole history and the significance of the rooms, statues, paintings, etc.. It was a great tour through the Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel and Raphael's Rooms; we were delighted and would like to thank all the staff of CityDiscovery and again a special thanks to our guide Francesca! Skip the Line Ancient Rome Half Day Tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill

Matthew H.,
It was great, our tour guide knew her stuff and a lot was covered. Well worth it! :)

NEVILLE N., Australia
This supposed half day tour actually lasted less than 2 hours. We were to start at 0930 the guide arrived a little late then we sat in the Hotel Lobby and discussed Optional tours. We started off a little after 1000 and we were unable to see many off the sights due to a varity of reasons and finished back in the hotel lobby just after 1100 am when we sat in the lobby again while the lady made a pile of phone calls to arrange the option tours we selected.. I managed to get away from her after 1200 noon. She did manage these optional tours and they went well. But the half day actual tour lasted as you can see no longer than 1 hour maybe one & a half hours max. This was not very satisfactory.

The guide had master degree in art and knew a lot of history. Answered each question with pacience and knowledge. Her name is Barbara, but isn't related to the barbarians! Not any more.

Naples and Pompeii Day Trip

Mark M., Australia
The Naples section of tour was difficult to hear as the guide was not using audio units, Pompeii was much easier with the units. The Pompeii walk was good with all the key areas visited by the guide. Lunch was pretty plain and not to the standard of other Cafe's and Restaurants we had visited during our trip.

Marcia K., Brazil

Pieter F., South Africa
The Naples part of the tour can be taken out. It's a short walk and just a quick look at some buildings - might be different if people are actually taken inside the castle. Pompeii was interesting.

H.P.J. V., Netherlands
We lost to much time (more than 1,5 our) with diner, factory at Pompeii and waiting on other people.

William G., USA
The primary tour guide was outstanding, fluent in multiple languages, and knowledgeable about the history and culture of the areas we visited and drove through. A long, but interesting and good value trip.

Rahul S., India
We booked for a tour to Naples and Pompeii but we had people going to and coming from Capri on the same bus!! Had to wait at several points to allow people to get on and off the bus... The guide was to be in English but she was translating into Spanish also so a lot of time was wasted during the Pompeii tour. The guide was also not upto the mark. We had booked other tours through City Discovery which had much better guides in Italy. Really a dissappointment. This tour is outsourced to the Appian Line Agency which is very poorly managed and the bus had very small and uncomfortable seats. Our trip to Italy was fantastic except for this one day trip. Wish we had done it on our own as visiting Naples and Pompeii is not that complex. We spent only 45 minutes in Naples!!

Luis Andre Gomes S., Brazil
O almoço deve ser repensado. Serviço ruim e a comida deixa a desejar. Deveria ser mais simples, tipo lanche. Não estamos falando de quantidade mas sim de qualidae. obrigado LASaporiti

Paul C., New Zealand
The tour guides were very good, knowledgeable and entertaining. Stopping at Naples was questionable although I suppose we had to stop somewhere but it appeared to be a dis-jointed, dirty city with little appeal. Pompeii was excellent and lunch satisfactory. Paul and Cindy Carpenter, New Zealand

Nisreen B., Saudi Arabia
Must do - We loved it

Salma H., Canada
It was a great trip. Certainly was better than going on your own by train. We found Pompeii fabulous, and would have liked to spend more time there than in Naples. It was a highlight of my trip to Rome. My recommendation when in Rome-visit the Vatican, and visit Pompeii!

Skip the Line Crypts and Catacombs - The Underside of Rome

Lynda N., Canada
Excellent tour by a very knowledgeable guide. Very unique and interesting sites were visited.

Mark M., Australia
Outstanding tour with Mike from Dark Rome ... The best that we experienced during our whole trip. Mike, originally from Southern California knew the sites and history really well, gave us insights into the areas we visited. His sense of humour had us chuckling all around the tour ... What an outstanding guide, gave us additional tips about Rome that were outside the tour that were a great help. The Crypts and sights visited were a must see for any visitor. They were explained with clear and sensitive insights. What amity that we couldn't have Mike on the other tours as well.

Noel G., Australia
Very informative, the guides were very knowledgable and polite.

Lynette B., Australia
This was the first of a number of sightseeing tours we went on in Rome and were so glad to have done so. The various places included in the tour were amazing and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Would certainly recommend this particular tour.

Leanne M., Australia
the tour was very well organised with someone to meet us at the nominated place. Our guides, Peter and Luciana spoke with humour and from obvious knowledge about the places we visited and not from a hackneyed script. So much so that even my wife who is not that interested in the topic was entertained. We were able to get as up close and personal as much as we could with the places we visited. Enjoyable way to spend an afternoon in Rome.

Ole P., Denmark
We liked it and we had a very good guide and a nice bud. Very interesting trip.

georgina R., Australia
really organised company, Rebecca our guide was an incredible historian and could relay a story brilliantly , she obviously enjoys her work and was very kind to all of us..she even remembered all our names

M B., Netherlands
We enjoyed the tour. it was nice to have more stops to see and hear about some historical stories. Our tourguide Katrina was very good and nice to here her talk about the places we have been.

colin W., United Kingdom
an unexpected pleasure. This tour was a joy.....particularly the unassuming Church built on another church.......built on something else! fantastic!

Marcia K., Brazil
Passeio extraordinário, emocionante! Revela um lado espiritual dos primeiros cristãos e curiosidades sobre escavações de ruínas. Não perca! Mesmo que você não possa tirar fotos, o passeio engrandece sua alma.

The Tour guide Vincenzo is exceptional. I have a background in HR, and if we could have tour guides of this calibre in Australia, we would be second to none !!! Vincenzo deserves top dollars for his efforts..Well done and excellent customer service !!!

We liked it and recommend it. The tour was well organized and the guide was fluent in multiple languages.

Nejma B., Belgium
A few more stops would be nice, specially around the coliseum

ANURAG K., Switzerland
It was not well organised and a much and far superior job could have been done. Many of the important sites were left out and most important - thyere is a big gap between what is their on your site and what is actually done.

Eileen E., Australia
There wasn't stops only 2 short ones.

Caroline T., United Kingdom
We liked it and recommend it

Kenneth M., USA
We were shocked to find so many tourists around and near the Trevi Fountain...it would have been nice had we been warned ahead of time of what to expect.

Naoko F., Australia
Too many people in the tour. We just have to take pictures from the bus which was boring...

Lina A., USA
There were a couple of highlights to the tour, but nothing you can't see on your own just walking around at night.

Lisa S., USA
I would like to have known that the tour would be delivered in 4 languages. The tour guide did a good job, but I feel I missed 1/4 of the tour. Also, I was very upset that 2 passengers got left at the Trevi fountain.

Marie C. R., USA
Our tour guide was fun and it was great to see all those places at night, especially the Colosseum.

Dinner and Music in Rome

david S., United Kingdom
Guide was good - not great Informative but took time due to transfer to different languages at each stop Dinner was ok but did not eat until after 2200hrs and was hurried due to lateness Not enough time at Collosseum and Vatican to take photographs Not good value for money!

Larysa A., Norway
The tour was ok, if u r allready in a good mood. The bus was ok, the guide was speaking 5 languages, for some reason, and that is why it was quite difficult to hang on. The tour arround Roma was a little bit short. The food we've got at the restaurant was simple, sort of budget, but good. To bad for us, cause ordinary customers have got really nice food, so the place was not bad, actually. It would be better just to drop us off at the restaurant, so we could choose from the meny ourselves. Music, singing, actually was really good.

Mark W., USA
The night tour was beautiful. Walking to the Trevi Fountain and the 4 Rivers fountain was romantic and memorable. It is hard to see some of the sights thru the window but it would not stop us from taking this tour again. Now the dinner was exceptional! Good meal and entertainment and was so much fun meeting others from the tour at dinner.

ANTHONY B., United Kingdom
Booked with City Discovery this trip, would throughly recommend booking this trip our tour guide was fantastic,we met alot of nice people on the trip& the traditional Italian meal including Piano player & opera singers at the restuarant really made the whole tour for my wife & myself would certainly book with City Discovery again.

Dorothy M., Canada
The food at the restaurant was not that good but the tour was great.

nasreen K., USA
The WORST tour we've ever taken. Absolute waste of money. We were all in the top deck of the bus and the guide, Margarita, was downstairs. She was narrarating the tour in 5 different languages, one line after the other. We could not understand a thing she said in English. By the end of the evening we all had a severe headache from her constant mumbling in different languages. We demanded our money back but our request was refused.

Sandra Regina C., Brazil

Enjoyable night except that we arrived at our dinner destination very late. Music was good but dinner could have been better and feel that our late arrival was the reason. I think they thought that we (6 of us) were not coming and were ready to close up. Bad planning by the Tour Director. Our photos have not yet been processed but we only took a couple on the night.

Jean-Claude C., Belgium
Except for the dinner, that was really deceptive.Nothing typical. Numerous places, i.e.Piazza dei Mercanti, in Trastevere, would offer genuine local atmosphere at competitive prices. I strongly recommend to consider changing the dinner place, to match the rest of your service. Best regards.

Pompeii and Vesuvius Volcano Full Day Trip

GARY B., United Kingdom
From beginning to end whole experience was excellent - highly recommended. Be prepared for first 1hr 30mins of journey on first leg, its an early start (7:30) going from Roma, but you are allowed peace time & able to catch up on any shut eye you might need. Believe me the daughting thought of a 3hr coach journey there & back is in now way as bad as it sounds - tour guides were excellent, thank you Roberto & Fran excellent hospiality... Pompeii just unbelievable, Vesuvius views when at top are just as unbelievable, be warned dont think your going to stride up the last leg of volcano - remember your at higher alttidue, take your time & wear good footwear path is a tad unstable. If anything was disappointed in lunch standard compared to food standard in Roma - thats being picky mind! its a great day out, long day but well worth the money & experience....highly recommended.

Cathleen M., USA
Well organized, lunch could be better which is the only bad thing I could say about the trip. I would say from the other people traveling with us that took other tours ours was the best. Do not miss going to the top of the volcano, it is worth it! You might feel like you do not have enough time in Pompeii but the tour was very informative and you did see a lot of the city. I feel like trying to see it on your own with more time would not have gained you the information you get about it, it is worth going on the tour. I would recommend this tour company and use them again. Our tour guide was nice and although the tour was in English which we wanted, she spoke several languages which was a help to some of our group.

jenny C., Philippines
very very very nice, our guide was very informative, giorgio-our guide in pompeii, very very very good, the lunch was a sad thing though, but since i did not book this tour for the lunch, overall it was nice specially with good company:)

Jesse J., USA
We really enjoyed the tour guides. We were disapointed with the length of time we were able to spend in Pompeii.

RICHARD F., United Kingdom
Loved the whole trip and Mike our guide made it extra special. On the strength of this we booked the Vatican tour with Mike, which was also brilliant.

ronald L., USA
The guide was excellent - particularly on the Pompeii tour. Mt, Vesuvius was fogged in - so we were dissappointed about not seeing the crater.

Eternal Rome + Imperial Rome Walking Tour

Ayad E., Saudi Arabia
I loved the tour. It gives a very good idea about the history of Rome. There is a lot of walking involved, but it is well worth it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable.

Katherine L., USA
This is a great way to hit all of the high spots in Rome in a limited (one day) amount of time.

nasreen K., USA
Great way to see Rome...by foot. This way you can get up close and admire everything as well as marvel at the same cobblestone streets that the Romans once walked on themselves. The only very bad part was lunchtime. They left us in care of 2 employees who barely spoke English therefore ordering off the menu and trying to find out where the meeting point was after lunch was horrible. Otherwise very good tour.

Dennis H., Denmark
Really a lot of information you are being given.. And a lot of sights you are seing.. BUT... Don't Take children with you on this tour and if you suffer for at minor walking dissabillity don't order it..

Kia T., USA
The tour was great, the guider was patient and full of information, the lunch was great and the lenght of time for the one day tour was perfect.

Roger L., Netherlands
Must do - We loved it

ATALLA A., Greece
we see all the city!!its verry nice trip we recommend it!!!

Katherine L., USA
The afternoon portion of the tour was very limited in scope, and at times was just too much information. On the other hand, the morning, Eternal Rome covered a wider range of sites and was better paced. Bottom line, you got to hit most of the high spots during the course of the day.

Brian W., USA
Was a decent tour, but the time stated on your itinerary did not match the time of the actual tour! We showed up nearly an hour early. Also, the second tour started half an hour late, just waiting in the bus, and they ended at the designated time (so it was half an hour short). In hindsight we probably would have been better off just walking around the city without a guided tour. Regardless, it wasn't a bad tour, just nothing exceptional.

Chad Q., USA
The sights were very interesting, but Rome is very hot during the summer. Trying to do both tours in one day was exhausting and I was worried about heat stroke. The afternoon was absolutely miserable. The tours of the Colosseum and Forum were rushed and it was a big group. The lunch that was offered was okay, but they do not give you a choice of what you eat with only water or wine.

Jessica H., Australia
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would not have been privy to all the information provided by our tour guide Luca had we not done the tour. He was brilliant, well informed and involved the participants on the tour to make it as though we were part of the Roman times. A great way to get the best out of these two fantastic world renowed monuments. Thanks

Micky C., USA
Our two tour guides Francesca and Lucca were amazing. They were both knowledgable and entertaining. I would highly recomend this tour to anyone considering it.

Malcolm G., Canada
Francesca and Luca were absolutely great guides - knowledgeable and engaging. If you do the combo AM/PM tours, be prepared for very little opportunity to sit and rest, even lunch was only 45-minutes.

Teresa Z., Canada
Amazing! Both guides were outstanding. So glad we did the tour. Even our 8 & 10 yr old were engaged the whole time. Tell Luca that Dino enjoyed his humor. Thank-you

Robban S., USA
Francesca, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable as well as entertaining! We enjoyed the entire day and learned so much! It is a strenuous day but well worth the effort!

Jacqui G., Australia
Francesca was our guide and we were very fortunate to have her. Francesca was extremely knowledgable, witty and interesting. It turns out she studied anthropology! And just loves it! Our full day tour took in Ancient Rome in the morning filled by Vatican City etc in the afternoon. A very full day made interesting and easy by Francesca! Grazie

Ana S., Brazil
We liked and recommend it, but it was quite expensive for what was offered (Although the guides were great and the tour was fine.) I mean, you could pay much less for a tour like that. They dont pick us up at the hotel and not even drive us to vatican from coliseum... You need to take your own cab to coliseum, and from there you need to get another cab to vatican city, and have luck enough to find the guide in front of the vatican totaly crowded.

Charles B., USA
our guide Franchesca was a wonderful guide!! She was well versed in her history, made it exciting and when questioned about any mundane subject, she had an answer! Being a student of archaeology, she showed us and told us much more than we could have expected of a guide. I reccomend her highly--she was our guide for both the Vatican and ancient Rome.

Sonia P., USA
The guide we had for the Ancient Rome portion in the AM was fantastic! (Don't remember her name but she has received rave reviews previously, and well deserves them!). The Coliseum and Forum were both great and the guide really brought them into perspective. Dino our guide in the PM for the Vatican was good too. The sights and information from both parts was really worth it.

Nora T., Philippines
Luca was a great guide(five star ,too!) It was a very hot day when we had the tour, but because Luca was so enthusiastic to tell us everything, we were able to endure the day. Thanks Luca!

Naples and Capri

MUSTAFA A., Pakistan
Restaurant at Capri did not disclose details of food to be served, did not provide drinking water, then gave us lime drink and ice cream which were both charged for.Tour guide should clearly disclose to all about food and preferably all this should be in a written handout. This complaint was noted by several members.Tour guide was hesitant to agree at first but then realised that complaint was genuine and several people said so.

Christiane G., Canada
This is a must see!! i've never seen anything so beautiful...the water was the perfect shade of blue and the Grotto Azzuro is unique!

raul C., USA
To many tourist in very small island , the waiting is to long to go to AnaCapri and back to the port.

Lei W., USA
Capri is surely so beautiful! The 3 tour guides were very nice and helpful. I had absolutely a great time. Even though things appeared to be a bit chaos in Italy as usual, somehow they organized all of the boat and mini bus transfers in a quite efficient way. Due to the rough wave, we went on a boat cruise around the island rather than the blue grotto. Also it was worthwhile to take the cable to go to the top of the mountain (cost Euro 8 extra). It was amazing! The only thing was a bit annoying was the very long wait at the tour office. We arrived around 6:45 am but only started to depart almost 8 am. So probably better off to go to the tour agent office directly and save some hotel pick up time.

Kathryn T., USA
The reason we took this tour was to go to the blue grotto and lucky for us, we were able to get in. Once we were on Capri we had a male guide and I do not know his name. He tried to tell me we could not go to the blue grotto because we did not buy our tickets in advance. I informed him we were told the blue grotto tickets there and that was correct and that is what we did. He still tried to talk us out of going to the blue grotto. I glad we didn't listen to him, it was great. Also, in Rome the bus picked us up late and consequently our entire group had to run a long distance to catch the ferry from Naples to Capri because the guides were so late. I felt we were fortunate to see the Isle of Capri and the blue gotto.

Skip the Line - Vatican Tour and Sistine Chapel for Small Groups

Brian W., Australia
We had a very informative guide, Luca, who was passionate about the tour. being in a small group was great as the tour felt very personal.

katja K., Finland
The guide was interested in the participants. He asked where evreybody was from. He introduced himself in the beginning. His English was good. He seemed to like his job which made the tour pleasant.

Mark W., USA
This tour met all our expectations. Seeing the art and historical sights we have only read about was like a dream. It was truly beautiful. Our tour guide Francesca was extremely knowledgeable and had a deep love love for her art. We gained so much from taking the tour and would recommend this tour anyone. Mark and Debbie from CA

Twyla B., Canada
Certainly were happy we had booked this because of the large crowds on May 2, 2012. We had no idea that it would be so crowded so early in May.

David M., USA
The group was too large, the headsets were unreliable, the guide did not seem to know much much detail about the sites (ex. she did not mention the vomitorium design feature of the Colosseum), and seemed to just want to be done with the tour. She was not very enthusiastic about the sites or being a guide. The large group size and her scripted recitation did not lend to getting any individual questions answered.

nasreen K., USA
This was the BEST tour ever. We felt we had earned a PhD in Vatican history after we were done. Our tour guide, Francesca, was AWESOME!! Her knowledge and presentation was wonderful. Very organized tour...highly recommended

BETINA G., Brazil
The tour was great, but most important was the knowledge, friendliness, attention and carism of our guide. He was just fantastic! I recommend this tour to everyone who wants to learn about history and arts.

Helen M., New Zealand
Our tour guide Francesca was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about Vatican history. We rated the tour very highly but thought the price was a bit steep.

Kate I., Australia
Loved it. There were only 7 of us in the group and our guide Lucas was great. My reason for doing the tour was not religious, it was out of a life-long love of Michelangelo and the desire to see his works. I was worried the tour guide would concentrate on the religious significance of everything but he didn't. He had the knowledge and a sense of humour. Don't try to wander around sites like this without an organised tour, you don't gain anywhere near as much from it. You don't know what you're looking at. And don't book a big cheaper tour. We saw groups of up to 30 trying to stay together and hear what their guide was saying. We didn't have that problem being in a small group we could stay together easily, hear everything, move quickly, but also linger at places that particularly interested any of us. Avoid the big tours. This tour was perfect. But don't take small children,it is too hot, too long and the children become bored. I definitely recomend this tour and hopefully you'll get Lucas as your guide. I booked all my tours through City Discovery and wasn't disappointed by any of them. You get what you pay for.

Gregory S., USA
This tour was excellent. The Vatican Museum is expansive and without a knowledgeable, competent guide you will wlk around in wonder and miss the small treasures. I definitely recommend this tour

Southern Splendour - 2 Days (Rome-Naples-Pompeii-Sorrento-Capri-Anacapri-Rome)

Dianna Lynne B., Philippines
Great tour! Italy countryside is really beautiful. We loved all towns! 2 out of the 3 tour guides were great; we loved Marco, he provided us important informations and he was sincerely looking out for our welfare, Teresa was very informative as well, Cludio, on the other hand, was very rude. He even embarrassed my nephew inside the bus because he thought he was noisy. He's a kid for gosh sake. The hotel was nice as well, quite far from the city center but there was a free shuttle to and fro (€1) for beyond 9pm. Food was abundant! Lunch, dinner and breakfast. We couldn't eat anymore. The drive to and from Rome is quite long so just entertain yourself by sightseeing or play with your iPad.

Lauretta H., USA
The sites we visited were very interesting and Capri was beautiful. The food was very commercial and not very tasty. The hotel that we stayed at over night in Sorrento was very dated and not the hotel that was advertised in the tour information. Communication is lacking when you are transferred from one place or one guide to another. Having an itinerary telling us where and what time things would be happening would have been very helpful. There are several different tour guides during the tour. Most of the guides were knowledgeable and answered questions when possible. The biggest downside of this tour is that there are two commercials that you are expected to sit through. We were able to escape the cameo tour, but not the wood crafting tour in Sorrento. The best reason to take this tour is because these two destinations would be very difficult to do on your own, especially in only two days.

Lauren O., New Zealand
This tour visits a lot of key things to see in the south of Italy which is great. There were also a couple of surprises too like a visit to a cameo factory and an inlaid wood factory. The food provided was very good. The hotel we stayed at in Sorrento was sublime - I felt very underdressed walking into the top class restaurant for dinner in my trainers! However, due to the fact that several groups on different tours come and go throughout the two days I STRONGLY suggest that each guide wears a company name tag or shirt and carries a company sign so that you know who you are meant to meet with at each of the changeover points. For example, I was at the hotel in Sorrento in the morning ready to go to Capri but I didn't know I was meant to sign in with someone called Marco. I didn't get a sticker as a result and this meant that he didn't get a ticket for me to go to the Blue Grotto (luckily I got in though!). Also, at the end of the tour we got off the boat in Naples and had no idea who we were meant to meet up with. There was a delay of about 20 mins while some went searching for our guide, not actually knowing who they were looking for.

Alistair B., United Kingdom
Well worth it! A young couple on a long weekend trip we stayed in Rome for the first night but the tour held all our highlights. We felt that we could of spent much longer in Pompeii and were a little disappointed with what Naples had to offer. Sorrento & Capri were beautiful and we were really impressed with the hotel provided in Sorrento. We were lucky with the weather conditions and went on the trip to the Blue Grotto which was simply stunning. Well recommended.

Katherine L., USA
Everything went as scheduled. Guides were excellent and the attractions, Pompei and the Blue Grotto in particular, are not to be missed. The hotel in Sorrento was lovely and the food far exceeded our expectations for a hotel buffet.

Matthew C.,
This is an awesome tour recommend the extra stay in Sorrento though to enjoy the hotel and area.

Suely F., Brazil
The first part of the tour (Naples and Pompeii)was ok, exactly as the program. The second part (Sorrento, Capri and Anacapri), was not good. Due to weather conditions was not possible to go to Capri, the local agency already knew and they did not informed the tourist trying to force us to go to another place, different from the one we choose. I refused and asked them to go back to Rome after the first day of tour and they said was not possible and I had no choise and must go to this other place that I did not want to go or the money paid for this second day would not be refunded. Besides of this information I decided to go back to Rome and contacted City Discovery and they solved the case refunding the second day of tour. I really did not like the way they treated the tourists that had only Capri in their original tour. They had to go to Naples and Pompeii instead of their disagreement.

This is a well organized tour which ran very smoothly. The Pompeii portion was very interesting and educational, thanks to our guide who, although sometimes hard to hear and understand, made a good effort in four different languages. It would have been better though if she wasted less time complaining. Marco, our guide in Capri, was very knowledgeable about the island. We learned a lot. However, he should hold up a sign so we don't lose him in the Capri crowds, which happened once. The seas were too rough to visit the Blue Grotto, but we were taken instead on an exciting boat tour of another section of the rugged coastline of the island. Our visit to the inlaid wood factory in Sorrento was a lovely added bonus. We stayed in the Grand Vesuvio Hotel, which was excellent, particularly breakfast.

disappointed with the hotel room we would have gladly upgraded if that had been an option we asked the hotel to move our room and they couldn't accommodate us otherwise the tour was wonderful a better hotel would have really made the trip

SOrrento was beautiful and we enjoyed all the more since we were at The Grand Vesuvio!!! Could not get any better.... we had a room with breathtaking view of the Mt Vesuvious and to top all of it, we were there on 15 August for the Ferragusto Dinner, which was simply superb, with great italian dinner, live music and some dancing !!!! I am glad we did Sorrento and would like to do be there again for a longer time!!!

Dark Heart of Rome - Fact, Legend and Mystery Tour

Peter W., United Kingdom
Was a great tour and recommend it to anyone! Even the rain didn't ruin it! Our tour guide was enthusiastic and friendly and we learnt interesting things about Rome im sure we wouldn't have learnt anywhere else!

sharman H., USA
Our guide was a very good story teller. The stories and information I learned on this excursion are things that I never knew about Rome, and likely to never forget. Brings some of the history to life.

Lina A., USA
It was interesting, but it was more of a nighttime tour of Rome than a Dark tour.

Jana T., USA
The guide was very entertaining. A great way for a family to see the city at night.

Rachael M., United Kingdom
Very interesting tour, takes you around the parts of rome which you would visit but not know true truth about the place.

Imperial Rome

If this is your first time in Rome and/or don't have too much time to see the most interesting sites of the Roman Empire, you shall not miss this one. It is a wonderful feeling to enter the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, listening to the experienced guide's notes.

We were not happy at all with ancient guide who was just like a salesman. First he recommended to buy water, ice cream and went to toilet for half an hour. Then he stopped again at the little stall, told us the history and what was in the book, then he mentioned the price of the book also recommended us to buy it. One American participant was not happy at all and told him off to stop do this.

Sylvia H., United Kingdom
Very interesting but the Guide's accent was very strong & was difficult to understand also the static on the radio was dreadful which also made it very difficult to hear what she was saying so unless you were immediately in front of the Guide it was not worth listening.

Sarah M., United Kingdom
Trip was fabulous, really informative. Only downfall was we were asked where we wanted to be dropped off at the end, couldn't be dropped at the hotel, so we asked to be dropped at the spanish steps. We were dropped about 2 miles away and had to navigate our way back which proved quite hard as we didn't know where we were!

Assisi and Orvieto

"I must say that this trip was the best of my whole stay in Rome. Your guide and driver were so lovable and that adds a lot to the trip. Your guide, antonella I think was very helpful and cheerful. The lunch at Assisi were delicious and the guide from Assisi was also lovable. He gives a lot of information about the place that makes it a memorable one. Your tour is absolutely the best and I recommend to all tourist. It is not only historical or religious but enjoyable with those present in the tour. Keep it up. Theresa Jee Norway"
