What To Expect
Start in the morning with a 3-hour orientation tour of the most famous sites in the city. Begin at Campo dei Fiori, We start at Campo dei Friori, a characteristic Roman open-air square, and go on to visit the Piazza Farnese, which takes its name from the imposing Palazzo Farnese across from it.
Not far from Piazza Farnese is Palazzo Spada, a must-see for its optical illusion designed by famous architect Borromini.
Then, we visit Piazza Navona, where you will find the "Fountains of Four Rivers" designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. We walk to Piazza della Rotonda and make a visit inside the great Pantheon. Our expert guide will be glad to give a short explanation about the history and the architectural secrets of the building.
Finally, we head to Piazza Colonna, followed by Trevi Fountain, the most famous fountain in Rome. Our last stop is Piazza di Spagna, also known as the Spanish Steps.
After our morning tour, you will be taken to a restaurant to enjoy a light lunch with drinks. We continue on with the second half of the tour in the afternoon.
Begin at the Arch of Constantine, the largest and one of the best preserved triumphal arches in Rome. Then, follow your guide inside the Colosseum, one of the most famous monuments in the world and an important symbol of Rome. Listen as the guide explains the events that took place there.
After the Colosseum, it will be time to explore the surrounding monuments such as Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum Archaeological Area. Discover also the Circus Maximus, House of the Vestals, Senate House, Capitol Palace, Sacred Way, various temples and the Triumph Arches.
