First off, meet with your guide at the designated meeting point before entering the St. Peter's Basilica. Your guide will take you inside the basilica and will tell you about the impressive history of its construction. Marvel at the Baroque and Renaissance architecture decorating the basilica as you move further inside.
Climb up the St. Peter's Basilica Dome where you may see the surrounding city at a new perspective. Designed by the famous artist, Michelangelo, the dome spans over 450 feet above the ground. Once you've reached the top, be rewarded with views of the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican museums, the city, and so much more! Participants whom are claustrophobic may replace the dome tour with trip to the basilica's Treasury Museum
Once you've reached the ground level, you will roam more around the basilica. Admire the beautiful religious art that impresses every tourist that sees them including Bernini's bronze baldachin, the baptismal font, and Michelangelo's "Pietà" which depicts a lifelike sculpture of the Virgin Mary holding the lifeless body of Jesus Christ.
Lastly, go on a tour of the basilica's crypts where you can pay your respects to the tombs of some of the most iconic people in the world of Christianity such as Saint Peter himself, Blessed Pope John XXIII, and Blessed Pope John Paul II.

Please remember that St. Peter's Basilica is a holy place and attire must be appropriate for the visit. Both men and women are asked to wear clothing that covers at least the shoulders and knees. The tour operator cannot be held responsible for denied entry due to improper dress.
St. Peter's Basilica is subject to unforeseen closures due to Vatican affairs. In the event that this happens, The tour operator will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule. In the rare case that the tombs are closed we will spend extra time in St. Peter's Basilica and Square.
Small bags and umbrellas are permitted inside the Basilica. However, large bags and objects must be left at the bag check situated at the entrance of St. Peter's Basilica, next to the official audio-guides desk.
