Excursion to Tivoli

We start our excursion by visiting Piazza dell’Esquilino, one of the seven hill s of Rome which provides a wondrous view of the Colosseum. Then, we journey through the Via Tiburtina, passing by the Castro Pretorio, the Baths of Tivoli and the Lucano Bridge before finally reaching the highlight of our tour, a visit to Hadrian’s Villa.

Hadrian’s Villa is a beautiful imperial villa built sometime in the 2nd century by Emperor Hadrian and once greater than the center of Imperial Rome. The villa features a multitude of exquisite fountains and superbly arranged Italian flower gardens. Explore Canopus and Serapeum, the villa’s pool and artificial grotto named after an Egyptian city where a temple was dedicated to the god Serapis, showing how well-traveled Emperor Hadrian was.

See the “Maritime Theatre,” a round portico with a barrel vault supported by pillars and a ring-shaped pool with a central island. On the island sits a small Roman house which was probably used as a retreat from the busy life at court.

The Villa is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the major tourist destinations of Italy.

After you book

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
