Florence and Venice (5 days/4 nights)

Day 1 Tuesday ROME - ASSISI - SIENA - FLORENCE
We will depart for Assisi, the mystic town of St. Francis. See its ancient walls and visit the Basilica of Saint Francis, home to early Renaissance masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue. Siena will be our next stop will be the beautiful medieval city of Siena, renowned for the Palio di Siena, an annual athletic contest pitting neighborhoods of a town against each other. We will have dinner in Florence where we will spend the night.

Day 2 Wednesday FLORENCE
Our first day in Florence will begin with a buffet breakfast before a guided sightseeing tour of the cradle of the Renaissance. We will visit the beautiful Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and Giotto’s Bell Tower adjacent to it. The Baptistery of St. John and the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery should not be missed as well as the famous Santa Croce, a 13th century Franciscan church with the famous Cimabue’s crucifix, damaged by a flood in 1966. The rest of the day will be spent at leisure for optional sightseeing tours, shopping or just wandering around this beautiful city before dinner.

Day 3 Thursday FLORENCE - PADUA - VENICE
We depart for Venice via Padua after a buffet breakfast. In Padua, we will visit the famous Cathedral of St. Anthony, guarded by Donatello’s “Gattamelata,” a sculpture of the most famous mercenary of the Italian Renaissance, Erasmo of Narni. We will continue on to Venice and enjoy a guided walking tour of this unique city. We will see St. Mark’s Square and Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the Prisons. We will also visit a glass factory and watch glass being molded before we have dinner.

Day 4 Friday VENICE
After a buffet breakfast on the fourth day of our journey, you have the whole day to yourself and explore the city on your own, shop or go on an optional tour to the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello before dinner.

Day 5 Saturday VENICE
Breakfast will be served on the last day of our tour before heading back to Rome.

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
