Pompei + Amalfi Coast Day Tour for Small Groups

Our first stop will be the archeological site of Pompeii where we will explore the excavation site for two hours with our expert guide. We will enter the city of Pompeii through the Porta Marina and head toward the temple of Apollo. We will then pass by the ancient forum of Pompeii, the city’s main square and center of public, political, religious and economic life. We will also see the limestone casts of the victims of volcanic eruption at the Macellum or food market followed by a visit to the thermal baths of Pompeii and Thermopolium, a wine bar and fast food restaurant.

We will also stop by an old bakery, a typical house of the times and a “Lupanare” or a brothel and view the unusual frescoes left there. We will also explore the side-streets and main roads of Pompeii, studying its interesting architecture in detail.

We will then drive to the Amalfi Coast, taking in the scenic view and stop at Positano, one of the famous and charming towns of the coast where delightfully colorful houses occupy the hillside. Spend your free time exploring this town after a walking tour before boarding a boat for a cruise down the Amalfi Coast, making our way to the town of Amalfi, once a major naval power. The town is made up of narrow lanes and alleys that climb up the hills and see the houses piled one on top of the other. Sample the local Limoncello drink in one of the cafes or visit the “Paradise Cloister,” dating back to the thirteenth century.

- This tour will be guaranteed and operates only with a minimum of 5 and maximum of 12 persons.
- At times, the order of the sites visited on our Pompeii and Amalfi Coast Day Tour may change due to seasonal changes of boat schedules and opening times of sites visited.
- Public boats stop operating on the Amalfi Coast around the 3rd week of October. When transfer is not feasible by boat, a scenic drive from Positano to Amalfi will substitute the boat ride.
- For hotels located at the airport and further afield, we charge a small supplement for a private transfer to connect with the tour. At the time of booking, we will advise you if there are any additional costs before processing your reservation.

After you book

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
