Vatican City Walking Tour Experience

This experience aims to expose to the guest the smallest country in the world.

We begin with a walk around the fortified walls of the Vatican City State before the tour starts off with a description of ancient Christian art and sculpture. It continues on with a look at more Christian art in the famous Vatican Pinacoteca where the viewer can admire a copy of the Pieta, by Michelangelo, from up close as well as priceless works of art by Raphael, Da Vinci, Reni, Caravaggio, and Perugino.

The tour continues along its evolutionary path of art by visiting the Pinecone and Belevedere Courtyards as well as the Hall of the Muses and Greek Cross Room, all of which contain some of the rarest sculptures from Greek and Roman antiquity which later influenced Renaissance Artists. The Raphael Rooms precede the magnificent Sistine Chapel where our guests will come face to face with the most famous ceiling on the planet.

Our walk ends on the front steps of St. Peter’s Basilica where we’ll see the Swiss Guards, the balcony that the Pope emerges from when first elected, and his bedroom balcony from which Sunday blessings are delivered. The guest is then free to walk through St.Peter’s Basilica and the rest of the complex at their leisure before it closes at 18:15.

That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
