What To Expect
We start at Campo dei Friori, a characteristic Roman open-air square, and go on to visit the Piazza Farnese, which takes its name from the imposing Palazzo Farnese across from it.
Not far from Piazza Farnese is Palazzo Spada, a must-see for its optical illusion designed by famous architect Borromini.
Then, we visit Piazza Navona, where you will find the "Fountains of Four Rivers" designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. We walk to Piazza della Rotonda and make a visit inside the great Pantheon. Our expert guide will be glad to give a short explanation about the history and the architectural secrets of the building.
Next, we head to Piazza Colonna, followed by Trevi Fountain, the most famous fountain in Rome. Our last stop is Piazza di Spagna, also known as the Spanish Steps.
After our morning tour, you will be taken to a restaurant to enjoy a light lunch with drinks. We continue on with the second half of the tour in the afternoon.
Our Vatican tour will take us to the Sistine Chapel, where we can marvel at the outstanding frescoes by Michelangelo, Creation of Adam and Last Judgment, on the altar wall.
We then proceed to Pio-Clementino halls, which houses the Laocoon and Apollo Belvedere. Our last stop is Saint Peter's Basilica, where you be awestruck by the beauty of La Pietà by Michelangelo, the impressive Baldachin Altar (in gold and bronze) by Bernini, and the splendid Colonnade outside the church.
