Get a taste of Rome as you never had before! A culinary stroll with 10 stops and 7or 8 tasting will show you the rich culinary tradition that still exists in the centre of Rome. All of our samplings will tell a "bite" about food that is an integral part of the culture and tradition of the city. During the walk your guide will talk about the most important monuments and squares of one of Rome's most enchanting areas.
Your culture and food walk begins at 09:00 close to the Pantheon in the centre of Rome, where you're going to meet the local guide. The first stop is planned to an historical coffee shop, where you'll taste Italian coffee. Then we'll walk to the Pantheon and to a very small local market whose historical roots are back in 1821. During the second stop, you'll taste typical seasonal fruits. Our third stop will be at a memorable and fascinating emporium where series of products of the monks of the Abbeys throughout Italy are sold. Next stop will be at a family-managed pastry shop founded in 1902, where we'll taste Roman pastry. The fifth stop of our tasting-tour is to an historical store specializing in chocolate, licorice, dried and candied fruits.
Crossing one of the most beautiful squares in the world the famous Piazza Navona, we arrive at the most famous "talking" statue in Rome. We will go then to a wine shop to taste a typical Lazio wine and to some historical grocers, which have been serving customers in the neighborhood for three generations. Here, you will taste 2 Italian cheeses.
Our next tasting stop is at a famous bakery where you will taste a thin-crusted Roman style pizza and the renowned pizza bianca, a favorite street food in the city. After a walk at Campo de' Fiori market, we now reach our last stop at a shop founded in 1890 to taste some sausages.
