Excursion of the Wild Savage South

Departure from your hotel in the morning and journey to the south. After crossing Grands Bois, south of St Pierre, the vegetation changes continuously. Volcanic rocks and the savage ocean dominate the scenery, giving the name to this extraordinary region.

The lush green vegetation and the tropical charm of the "Wild South" are due to the intense rainfall in the South and in the East of Réunion. A vast primeval forest stretches out along the slopes of the volcano, providing shelter for various bird species.

Grand-Anse was the first inhabited region in the south of the island. Its beautiful white sand beach boasts beautiful coconut trees. The pieces of coral on the beach witness the young age of the island and remind us to treat Réunion with care and caution.

Ruins of ancient factories from forgotten times show that development in this part of the island is slow, its authentic atmosphere undeniable. The Tremblet, the Grand brulé (the burned region) and its various lava streams never leave a visitor unaffected. In this region, paradise and hell are close together, the beauty and the power of nature are overwhelming and the scenery is unique.

In the afternoon you can visit the garden of perfumes and spices, a place where Adam and Eve could feel at home. Return to your hotel at around 18:00.

After you book

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
