Live 5 days with the best of the beautiful Argentine's North! Explore the natural wonders outside of the city and the charming colonial heritage of Salta's city centre. Discover beautiful UNESCO's sites in local towns, like the famous Seven Colours Hill and learn about the ancient communities that inhabited the region since the pre-Inca history.
A representative is going to be waiting for you at Salta's airport or main bus stop to take you to Marilian 3-star hotel or Salta 4-star hotel. The first one offers heated and air-conditioned bedrooms, international telephonic communications and private barhrooms. Salta 4-star hotel offers also WIFI internet connection, a dinning room with computers and a baggage lodge.
After that, and if you flight arrives before 15:00, hop on a guided tour through Salta's city centre, where you will discover the main monuments of this beautiful city: get familiar with its colonial history, and admire its charming architecture. You will pass by the 9 de Julio Square, one of the most animated spots in the city, the favourite place of locals to meet at the end of the day. There you will find as well important monuments, like the Salta's Cathedral, a beautiful and simple church, of Spanish Baroque style. See as well San Francisco's convent, a beautiful church whose first building dates back to 1625, another icon of the city. Pass by San Bernardo's Hill, that offers, from its 1637 meters above the sea level, one of the best panoramic views of Salta. Finally admire the Handicrafts Market , installed in an old house's building, is the ideal place to find your best souvenir from Salta, and the best regional products. At the end of your tour, we will take you back to the hotel, to enjoy the rest of the day on your own.
After breakfast, We will pick you up from the hotel, and we will go to the south, in a route that will take us from 1500 up to 3500 meters above the sea level! Is the perfect opportunity to admire the immensity of the Puna, this incredible space in the central Andes, between the earth and the sky, as you get close to Cuesta del Obispo: the landscape is amazing! Marvel at Valle Encantado, where you will find ancient caves, inhabited once by native communities thousands of years ago, and stunning rock paintings.
The same road takes us to Shell's Gorge, a distinctive post-card of Salta, famous for its impressive shapes, generated by the erosion of the rain and the wind, and in different charming colours, a mix between red, orange, green and brown.
The journey continues through route 68 traversing the Lerma Valley and its historical towns. Marvel at the rich heritage of the pre-Hispanic history, and admire the rests of the ancient communities: some of the buildings are still entire! This heritage mixes with the colonial tradition, the one you will be able to live in those small churches, full of charm and calm. Pass through the tin tin's line, the rests of the ancient road of the Inca!
After that, marvel at the amazing panoramic views and take your best picture of Los Cardones National Park, the only National Park at 3.384 meters above the sea level in Argentina! You will see the huge Cardons, the typical south American cactus with an incredible perspective of the desert around you. See as well Guanacos and Llamas, the typical local camelids.
We will visit then the town of Cachi, situated in the south of the Calchaqui Valleys, traditional town slept in the time, whose history dates from the colonial times: admire the ancient houses and feel the calm of this mythic place. Enjoy some free time to explore the village at your own rythm and to sample the best of the local cuisine at a typical restaurant.
At the end of the afternoon we return to Salta through the Quebrada de las Conchas or the Shells' Gorge and the Lerma Valley.
Today you will discover the incredible nature and tradition of Jujuy's province, in the north of Salta. The province is famous for it's traditional history, and its typical towns which culture mixes colonial tradition and pre-Inca heritage. Live a once in a lifetime experience and discover this slept in time landscape.
We will pick you up from the hotel after breakfast and we will take you to Humahuaca's Gorge. Marvel at the different colours of the landscape, a show with no parallel, and the immensity of the local vegetation, specially adapted to the hostility of the desert. Visit the town of Purmamarca, a picturesque traditional village and discover its charming local handicrafts they sell in their own local market, the perfect opportunity to take back home your best souvenir from north Argentina!
After that, marvel at the stunning beauty, colours and textures of Seven Colours Hill, which is part of UNESCO's world heritage sites. Visit later the small town of Pucara de Tilcara, where you will see its important pre-Inca heritage, in the incredible archaeological ruins. Learn how the local population adapt to live and develop the community despite the hostility of the climate in the Puna. The site is simply amazing! Visit as well Uquia and its church, where the paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels, an important vestige in the zone of the Cuzquena School are kept;
After that, visit as well the town of Huamahuaca and its Independence Monument, before going back to Salta's city centre.
Today after breakfast, feel free to live the best of Salta as you prefer. If your flight/bus arrival time didn't allow you the first day, take the Salta's City centre tour, and discover the best of the heritage and the history of this beautiful city.
DAY 5: After breakfast, we will take you back to the airport or the central bus stop.

DAY 2: Cachi: Pick up from the hotel after breakfast, De los Laureles Gorge, Del Escoipe Gorge, Cuesta del obispo, Valle Encantado, Piedra del Molino, Recta del TIN TIN, Los Cardones National Park, Panoramic views: Del Nevado (in Cachi), Chachi and Payogasta, Way back to Salta, drop off to the hotel. DAY 3: Humahuaca's Gorge Pick up after breakfast from the hotel: Humahuaca's Gorge, Yala, Volcan, Tumbaya, Purmamarca's town, Sevel Comours Hill, Coloraditos, Maimara, The Painter's Palette, Tilcara village, El Pucara de Tilcara archaeological ruins, Huacalera, Tropic of Capricorn, Uquia (Cuzco Paints), Humahuaca and the Independence Monument, Drop off to the hotel in Salta.
