For those who have the term "adventure" constantly on their travel list, it is almost sacrilegious to miss Chapada Diamantina. It offers a roster of outdoor thrills - trekking, abseiling, diving, potholing, and canoeing, to name a few. After the pure adrenaline rush, it is still possible to relax in the pristine waters of its rivers and waterfalls. This tour is a six-day quest for the wild and wonderful outdoors.
DAY 1 Salvador / Lençóis City Tour
We will leave at 07:30 (in front of Salvador Praia Hotel at Ondina Beach) in an air-conditioned microbus with a guide, reclining seats and video, color TV and sound facilities. We will stop for lunch at Itaberaba City. Arrival is estimated at 15:00. At 18:00 we will tour Lençóis and stroll along the main streets of the city.
DAY 2 Serrano and Ribeirao do Meio
In the morning we will take a stroll to Rio Lencois, passing by the Colorful Sand Hall and taking a nice bath in the Cachoeirinha. In the afternoon we will go to the Ribeirao do Meio where we will witness an authentic slide formed by the waterfall.
DAY 3 Poço do Diabo, Morro do Pai Inácio, Grutas da Pratinha, Azul and Lapa Doce
In Poço do Diabo we will visit a beautiful waterfall formed by the Rio Mucugezinho, with Tirolesa and Rapel as optional attractions. We will proceed to Morro do Pai Inácio, perhaps Chapada Diamantina's biggest city symbol with its legends and panoramic views. The Gruta Azul and Pratinha, too, will make a great impression with their waters and with the sunlight turning in some beautiful colors (the origin for their names). Lunch will be served, and Tirolesa and Flotation are optional. Afterwards we will take on Gruta da Lapa Doce (850 meters of extension), which has impressive rocky formations in its interior.
DAY 4 Poço Encantado and Mucuge
With your suitcases inside the microbus, we will say goodbye to Lençóis and leave for Mucuge. Along the way it is possible to see Poço Encantado, one of Chapada's biggest attractions. Its best feature is a great light that shows rocs 40 meters under water. In the afternoon we will go to Mucuge, passing by the Projeto Sempre Viva. At night we will have a pleasant stroll by the streets of Mucuge.
DAY 5 Cachoeira do Buracao
For a great finale we will take you on a tour to Cachoeira do Buracao, considered as showcasing the most beautiful of Chapada. Located Ibicoara, 115 km of Mucuge, the waterfall is impressive not only because of its amazing height but also for the magnificent Canion in front.
DAY 6 Mucuge / Salvador
We will leave at 07:30, probably arriving at Salvador Praia Hotel at 15:00.
