What To Expect
Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio, or Manuel Antonio National Park in English, is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Costa Rica. It is a combination of paradisaical beach of crystalline waters with coral reefs, bordered by exuberant vegetation and tropical humid forest. Its beaches are counted among the best of the country, where the snorkeling and the surf are very popular.
On our way to Manuel Antonio, you will enjoy nice views along the coastal line, plantations of African palm and picturesque villages along the Pacific coast. You will reach the port of Quepos a few minutes after the National Park.
Upon our arrival, we'll make our way to the park on foot due to it being closed to vehicles. During our hike, we'll be crossing a creek before we reach the part itself.
Once at the park, it's possible to simply take a swim at the beach and sunbathe. You may also enjoy a nature walk though the park's trails, which will allow you to observe the abundant flora and fauna living in Manuel Antonio. During your walk, you'll be able to see several species of monkeys, iguanas, birds, and maybe, the three toed sloth. One of the trails borders Cathedral Point, from which the sight of the park and the sea is spectacular.
