What To Expect
After being picked-up at your hotel, we'll catch our flight out to Jeju Island. Upon arrival, our first stop will be at Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, also known as the "sunrise peak". It is said that the peak rose from the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. Located on the eastern end of Jejudo Island, the sunrise from the huge crater of the peak is a magnificent sight to see, especially in spring when it is surrounded by yellow-colored rapesee flowers.
Next, we'll proceed to Seongeup Folk Village, a small town that holds a vast amount of culture. Cultural properties in the village have been handed down from generation to generation. These properties include treasures such as residential houses, Confucian shrines and schools, stone statues, fortress ruins and so much more.
After breakfast, we'll head over Cheonjiyeon. Literally meaning "God's pond", it derives its name from the legend of the seven fairies who served the King of Heaven and bathed in its waters. The wooded area contains a great variety of rare plants such as brambles, Songyeopnan as well as Gusiljappam trees, Sanyuja trees (Chinese lemon trees), and camellias. Take a walk along the subtropical path and you'll be able to see the magnificent falls.
We'll make a stop at the the Teddy Bear Museum before proceeding to Manjanggul Cave. The cave is one of the finest lava tunnels in the world, and is designated natural monument. Only 1 kilometer of the 13,422 cave is open to tourists because inside the tunnel sustains temperatures of 11 to 21 degrees celsius.
