Touching down at the ultramodern Incheon International Airport places us at the heart of Korea, which is known as the Land of Morning Calm. The Korean Folk Village, peopled by real artisans and craftsmen dressed in traditional costumes, is a functioning community displaying how things really were a few hundred years ago. Artists and artisans ply their trades in workshops of that demonstrate centuries-old craftsmanship in the art of pottery, bamboo craft, Korean paper, wooden craft, glazed pottery, straw craft, willow craft, hand held fans, cotton looms, silk looms, straw shoes and smoke pipes.
The village also offers performances on a daily basis. The farmer's dance and music, which has long been one of Korea's most popular forms of entertainment, bears testimony to the gregarious nature of the people and their love of fun and festivities. A traditional marketplace offers the exotic flavors of Korean cuisine from different regions. Shops stock a variety of traditional handicrafts and souvenirs. With all these features combined, the tour offers a fascinating insight into the unique Korean lifestyle of the days gone by.
Return transportation to the airport, and soon thereafter you will be on the plane taking you back home.
