What To Expect
Discover Taormina by the sea on board of a private boat and take a walk to explore the pedestrian centre of the town. This tour begins with a private boat ride following the Taormina coast northwards until the beautiful beaches of Mazzarò and Isola Bella. The coastline is a wonderful combination of steep cliffs, rocks, seaside grottos, and golden and stony beaches. You may be able to swim, sunbathe and explore the crystal clear waters of the grottos.
We arrive at Isola Bella, a stunning cove with a narrow split leading out to a nature reserve on a small rocky outcrop between rocks, stony beaches and Mediterranean vegetation. In this fantastic setting, you can have lunch on a terrace restaurant perched on the stony beach that you may reach by the boat. Here, you can also sunbathe in the adjoining beach equipped with deckchairs and parasols. Next, we head to Taormina, a tiny town whose beauty has been documented by writers for centuries. Goethe described Taormina, perched proudly above the sea, as "a part of paradise." No wonder Taormina is such a popular tourist destination! It is definitely unsurpassed in beauty. It has all of the desired attributes that appeal visitors: stunning views, ancient ruins, winding medieval streets with tiny passages each with its own secrets and an abundance of quaint shops, great restaurants, cafés and ice-cream bars. You can visit at your own pace the pedestrian area of this fascinating town and the main street which stretches along the line of an old Roman road.
The truly majestic Greek Theatre is a classic sight you won't want to miss. Its ruins, overlooking the Naxos Bay below, stand proud with the ever-active volcano Etna as its backdrop.
