What To Expect
Located in the very heart of Central Visayas, Bohol island became a famous tourist location for its luxurious natural environment, and probably one of the most well preserved ecosystem in the Philippines. See the best of this enchanting island on this 4-day trip.
You will be picked from the airport or your hotel at the start of your tour. Head off to Chillout Guesthouse, a wonderful place situated amidst a natural landscape. Beautifully bordered by bamboos and lush trees, admire the tranquility of the place and be reminded of the perks of simple living. Enjoy the nature-inspired spaces which are furnished with a terrace and a private toilet and bath. During your stay, enjoy some recreational activities like horseback riding or treat yourself to a relaxing body massage. The guesthouse also features a restaurant that serves a delectable variety of Filipino dishes.
After a lovely breakfast, enjoy a spectacular full day tour to the must-visit destinations of Bohol.
Travel to the town of Carmen and stop at a viewing deck which offers a wonderful view of the lush vista of cone-shaped hills known as the Chocolate Hills. The picturesque hills turn a distinct shade of brown during the dry season and give them a passing resemblance to a certain confectionery treat, hence their name.
Proceed to the town of Corella and visit the Philippine Tarsier and Wildlife Sanctuary. Get a rare chance to get up close to the Philippine tarsier in its natural habitat. At just three to six inches tall, this animal is one of the smallest primates in the world. With gaping eyes, minuscule proportions and a sensitive nature, the tarsier certainly has a quirky charm.
Continue to the Butterfly Sanctuary, and find almost 300 species of Philippine butterflies. Admire the view of these colorful creatures as they flutter freely in their habitat.
Drive through the lush mahogany Man-Made Forest, a luxurious jungle built year after year by the locals.
Lastly, enjoy an optional panoramic lunch cruise along the calm waters of Loboc River. Relax as you view nature's splendor, including lush tropical forest and rolling hills lining the riverbanks.
At the end of the day, you will travel back to Chillout Guesthouse where you will be accommodated for the night.
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the guesthouse and then hop on an outrigger boat which will take you to Balicasag, a circular island with a typical Maldives character just 20 minutes away from Alona Beach. During your trip, spot groups of dolphins surrounding the boat, some of them jumping up and giving away a nice show of their acrobatic abilities. For added thrill, you may also swim along these wonderful sea creatures as they glide in their natural habitat.
Then, continue to Balicasag Island and admire the crystal clear waters surrounding its white sand beach. Gear up with your snorkeling gear and hit the waters, where you will discover the wonders of the island's rich marine life. Swim along a variety of tropical fishes and see a huge forest of black corals.
Before your returning to the main island, take a quick detour to Virgin Island, a small piece of paradise located close to Panglao. Laze around the sharp strip of clear white sand, which size and shape evolves everyday over the course of tides and currents.
Start your day with a hearty meal at the resort and spend the rest of the morning as you please. You will then be dropped off at the airport or hotel at the end of your 4-day escapade.
