What To Expect
Choose from assortments of mouthwatering dishes at the Ningxia Night Market. Bring a healthy appetite and be prepared to fill your cravings for authentic Asian food. With a local guide to lead you through the market, you will not only have the opportunity to experience Taiwan's delectable dishes, you will also learn about the local connections that will give you inside knowledge on where your next food trips will be.
Get your chops around some yummy fried yam balls or karasumi. You can also opt for a Taiwanese mullet roe made from eggs of mullet fish baked until rosy red. For meat lovers, you can try some tender pork leg served with rice and shrimp soup or a flavorful chicken roll with rice and barbecue sauce.
If you have more of a vegan persuasion, you can help yourself in a vegetarian stall specializing in a choice of sticky rice with mushrooms or Taiwanese tofu dishes. You can also pick up some scrumptious taro balls with egg served in one of the most popular stands in the market or try the simple yet tasty rice balls boiled in sugar soup served with peanut or red bean soup. Herb soup with yam or taro balls is also available to give your digestion relief. You will also get the chance to visit the well-known oyster pancake stand where you can indulge in the aroma of juicy oysters prepared with egg and vegetables.
