Sicilian Pastry Course in TaorminaThe art of Sicilians of making confections, combining nuts and fruits with sugar and honey, is well known all over the world. These desserts are prepared in different ways according to the family or the town where these come from. Surely, however, these sweets and almond-based cookies, rich in color and elaborately designed, are the pride of Sicilians.

We meet the chef in the restaurant at 9:00 am. First, you will start with the preparation of the pastry mixture for the cannoli and the pistachio cake. As the mixture rises, you will learn how to make the filling for both the cannoli and cake. This step will be followed by the preparation of semifreddi and almond glacé.

At the end of the lesson, you will be able to try desserts made by yourself accompanied by dessert wines suggested and described by our sommelier. There's also free time to explore further the pedestrian center of this town, a tourist resort whose beauty has been documented by writers for centuries. No wonder Taormina is such a popular tourist destination! It is definitely unsurpassed in beauty. It has all of the desired attributes that appeal visitors, stunning views, ancient ruins, winding medieval streets and tiny passages each with its own secrets and an abundance of quaint shops, boutiques, great restaurants, cafés and ice-cream bars. The truly majestic Greek Theatre is a classic sight you won't want to miss. Its ruins stand with the ever-active Mt. Etna as its backdrop.
