The tour begins with the tranquil Meiji Shrine, dedicated to Emperor Meiji, the first emperor of modern Japan. Then, travel by bus past the National Diet Building on your way to the Imperial Palace East Garden, the site of the original Edo Castle.
Then, on to Asakusa, where you can browse the many colorful stores lining the Nakamise walkway leading up to Sensoji Temple, Tokyo's oldest and most famous Buddhist temple. The tour then takes you to Ginza, Japan's world-renowned shopping and entertainment district.

Leave Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal and visit the following places by bus.
Meiji Jingu Shrine
Meiji Jingu, Japan's most famous Shinto shrine, is dedicated to the Emperor Meiji and his consort. (30 min.) On January 1-3, this tour will visit Tokyo Tower instead of Meiji Jingu Shrine. See the National Diet Building en route to the Imperial Palace.
Imperial Palace East Garden
Here you'll find the stone foundation of old Edo Castle, which is all that remains of its central keep. Take a stroll in one of the vast inner gardens of the Imperial Palace. (40 min.) On Mondays and Fridays when the Imperial Palace East Garden is closed, this tour will visit the Imperial Palace Plaza instead.
Sensoji Temple (Asakusa Kannon) and Nakamise-dori
Sensoji is the oldest and most popular Buddhist temple in Tokyo. The promenade leading to the temple, called Nakamise-dori, is lined on both sides by many small food and souvenir shops. (40 min.)
Ginza Shopping District
Ginza is the most celebrated shopping district in Tokyo.
