From there, travel by local bus to Kichijoji, western Tokyo's biggest shopping and entertainment district. Explore the back streets and unique shops of this trendy part of suburban Tokyo.

Go to the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka by train and local bus.

Ghibli Museum, Mitaka
The museum was designed by Japan's top animated film director, Hayao Miyazaki, famous for such films as Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and My Neighbor Totoro. The building is like a maze, and the concept of the museum is "Let's lose our way together." You can see the cat bus from Totoro, imaginative exhibits about the process of making animation films, and an original short film which can only be seen in the museum theater.

Transfer to Kichijoji
Go to Kichijoji, the biggest shopping center in western Tokyo, by local bus.

18:00 - 19:00
Tour disbands upon arrival at Tokyo Station at between18:00 and 19:00. Participants will return to their hotels or elsewhere on their own. The guide can provide directions for returning to your hotel.

- Public transportation is used for round- trip transfer to the museum in Mitaka, a suburb of Tokyo.
- This is a walking tour. We recommend you prepare casual clothes and comfortable shoes.

- Baby buggies are not allowed to enter.
- Fees for children (four- and five-year-old) will be charged at the spot.
- Not operated when the Ghibli Museum is closed for special maintenance.
