What To Expect
Explore the most popular cherry blossom viewing point in Tokyo with a local guide and then enjoy a viewing party which includes food and drinks at a nearby izakaya (Japanese pub) which looks out over the cherry blossoms.
Begin the tour with a stroll along the Meguro River to view about 840 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees that sit along the banks of the 2.5 mile (4km) river. You'll have time to take plenty of photos during your 30-minute walk, as your guide explains the Japanese tradition of hanami or flower viewing. At this time of year, the trees will be lit up with lights, creating a magical atmosphere, and is definitely a must-see if you have a chance!
Continue to a local izakaya that serves local delicacies and a drink-all-you-can menu. Have a perfect view of the cherry blossoms as you dine and learn about Japanese culture from your guide. This a great chance to enjoy the way the local Japanese people enjoy the cherry blossoms!
