Taiko Drumming Course and Asakusa Walk

Taiko drums are considered to be one of the first percussion instruments invented by humans. This tour will lead you to discover the wonders of Taiko drums. The tour starts at the Drum Museum where you can observe and touch a collection of drums that comes from around the world. You will also be able to participate in short drumming sessions.

The sound of a Taiko drum is thought to be like the sound at the bottom of our souls - it's the basis for human rhythm. You will find that Taiko is not only a musical instrument. The physical activity involved during the drumming has made it become a form of relaxation, recreation and entertainment.

After the Taiko session you will enjoy a short tour around Asakusa's temples and shrines to learn more about traditional Japanese culture and religion.

- Taiko drumming is practiced while barefoot.
- Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a spare T-shirt.
- Please bring drinking water and a towel.

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
