"We felt it hadn't been emphasized when we booked that this was a do it yourself tour. Even the fellow at Grayline had never been to Washington DC so couldn't be specific in his advice. The staff at the Hop on Hop off bus ticket office in Union Station were very unhelpful and unfriendly and brushed our questions off. It was only that we were very familiar with the buses in NYC that we were confident of touring on these buses. We felt we had to watch the time very carefully which took away some of the enjoyment."
