This palace is special to the people of Abu Dhabi. It has witnessed much of the nation’s dramatic shift from traditional nomadic way of life to cosmopolitan. The home of the late Sheik Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan in Al Ain and the birthplace of the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, it was transformed into a museum in 2001 so that the people would always have a link to the past. It houses a big ethnographic collection.
How to get there
By bus from Abu Dhabi station. By Emirates mini bus from Dubai’s Bur Dubai taxi station. Then take a taxi - direction is southeastern section of Al Ain city, near the commercial area on the road leading to Sinaiyya.
