What To Expect
Start your day by visiting the Historic Centre of Avignon. See two landmarks listed in the World Heritage by UNESCO:
The Palais des Papes (the "Papal palace"), an impressive fortress with gothic architecture from the 14th century. It is part of the 10 most visited monuments in France.
Have a wine tasting in Chateauneuf du Pape, where the largest and most important wine appellation in the southern Rh?ne comes from.
Then, enjoy a traditional lunch at Le Verger des Papes. The restaurant dominates the vineyards and offers an exceptional view on the Mount Ventoux and the city of Avignon.
After this, explore the Alpilles national park: a place with rocky mountains with olive tree groves and vineyards, lovely villages and wild nature.
Get to see another monumental UNESCO listed landmark: the famous Pont du Gard.
Finally, visit the "Marius Fabre" soap factory. Created in 1900, Marius Fabre still respects tradition to offer natural and environment friendly products.
