What To Expect
Your tour will start at the Montazah Palace and its Green Gardens, proceeding to the early Roman-period catacombs of Kum El Shukafa. It was discovered in 1900 after a 12 year search. Next is the 3rd Century Pompey's Pillar, a 25 meter red Aswan granite column that is the last of the remaining relics of the Seraphim Temple.
Next is Qayetbay citadel, situated on the entrance to Alexandria's eastern harbor. After lunch at a local seafood restaurant, you will head to Alexandria Library, one of the great literary sites in the world. It is said to contain copies of approximately every book published in the world. The tour includes short stop in front of Morsy Abul Abba's famous Mosque, which is one of the most sacred and famous mosques all over Egypt and the World. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your cruise in Alexandria Port.
