What To Expect
The tour route to Turgen Gorge lies along the Kuldja tract, where hundreds of years ago the trade caravans traveled.
Turgen Gorge is rich in conifers and mixed forests, alpine and sub-alpine meadows, lakes and springs, as well as picturesque waterfalls. You will have an easy trek to the beautiful Bear waterfall, surrounded by rocks with imprints of plants from pre-Ice Age.
After lunch at a local cafe, you will visit the Issyk Winery, which today is one of the oldest wine producers in Kazakhstan. The winery produces high-quality Issyk wines which received prestigious awards at various international and domestic competitions.
During the factory tour you will get acquainted with the process of wine production, storage methods and the culture of wine drinking. You can not only taste the main types of wine produced at the plant, but also buy Kazakh wine as a souvenir in the factory shop.
