Description

Taste the best of Antigua as you explore the city and experience its culture rooted in coffee. Start your caffeine fueled adventure with a short bus ride to the town of San Miguel Escobar, where you’ll meet with a representative of the Farmers Cooperative. There you will dive into the daily life of a coffee farmer.

Discover the journey of coffee from bean to brew as you get your hands dirty from helping the farmers plant and harvest beans. Learn the history of Guatemalan coffee as you chat up with the farmers and their families over a cup of homemade brew. Roam around and discover the different varieties of plants being farmed in the region before heading back to Antigua.

From this point on, we’ll be diving into Guatemalan coffee culture and other treats. Roam the alleys of the local market of Antigua and grab some fresh fruit and vegetables. Taste a variety of local produce and tasty treats at “comedores” and try some of the most popular regional dishes of Guatemala.
