What To Expect
Day 01 Arrival in Bali
It takes approximately 1 hour to clear Immigration and collect luggage (although this might take longer during high season and when multiple flights are landing). It can be very crowded when you exit the terminal. If you look to your right, your driver will be holding a Yellow A4 sign with your name on it. Then, we will transfer to Tulamben in north east Bali for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Overnight at a patio room at Mimpi Resort Tulamben or similar hotel.
Check out at 09:00 for the 30-minute transfer to Amed, where you may enjoy 1 dive from the 20-meter Japanese wreck. Located 3 km south east of Amed, the wreck of a 20 M steel freighter lies 6 to 12 meters deep alongside corals, gorgonians and sponges.
You also get 2 more dives from the Amed Reef, where you will find an abundance of marine life including White-tip reef sharks, Napoleon wrasses, occasional big trevallys, butterflyfishes, bannerfishes, snappers, fusiliers, anemones, clownfishes, barracuda, Blue-spotted rays and many more!
After enjoying your dives, we transfer to Candidasa in East Bali in about an hour travel time. Overnight at deluxe garden view room at Puri Bagus Candidasa or similar hotel.
We make the approximately 15-minute transfer to Padangbai at 08:30 (07:30 from July until October). Enjoy 3 reef/drift dives at Nusa Penida, the largest of the three islands in Bali's east coast, and Manta Point, where you get to see Manta rays and eye-catching cliffs that descend straight into the ocean. Lunch will be served on board. Overnight at Puri Bagus Candidasa or similar hotel.
At 08:30 we transfer again to Padangbai where you will enjoy 2 reef dives at Gili Biaha and Mimpang/Tepekong. Gili Biaha is a small crescent-shaped island that makes for a stunning dive site - marine life set against the backdrop of chiseled black walls surrounded by corals.
Mimpang is best known for the Wall, made up of rocks some of which are visible on the surface of the water, others running in a ridge to the north toward Bali and to the south dropping into deeper water. Tepekong, meanwhile, is located just 1 km from Mimpang and it is here that you will see the Canyon lining the ocean floor with black stone walls.
Then, enjoy 1 reef dive at Blue Lagoon just outside Padangbai known for its sloping white sand bottom. While not visually stunning at first glance, this small bay has its own charms - it is home to amazing diversity of fish life including a large Napoleon wrasse, some unusual reef sharks, stonefish, morays, Blue ribbon eels and many more.
Enjoy a beach barbecue lunch of grilled fish, satay, salad, Balinese vegetable and sauces. We head back to our hotel before the day ends.
We check out at 08:30 for our transfer to Padangbai. Today you will have 2 dives at Gili Selang at Bali's eastern point. This small island offers protected reef and drift diving, as well the opportunity to see big fish in action! You will be fascinated by the rich sand sloping to the north of the island. Along the deeper end of slope dwell some interesting sea fans, soft corals, barrel sponges and coral bushes, as well as White-tip reef sharks and Bumphead parrotfishes.
Lunch will be served on board. After your dives, we transfer to Ubud for about 1 hour and 24 minutes to spend the night in a superior room at Champlung Sari Hotel (or similar). Along the way we visit Goa Lawah Temple.
Today is your rest and relaxation day. You may spend the day as you wish. Overnight at Champlung Sari Hotel (or similar).
