What To Expect
Visit the traditional fishing and salt-panning village of Amed. Enjoy a total of 3 dives at some of its most popular diving sites. Dive at Amed Reef, home to a wide selection of marine creatures including sponges, Gorgonian sea fans, lobsters, shrimp and goby sets, as well as anemones with attendant clownfish, Blue-spotted rays, pygmy seahorses, and schools of fish such as anthias and barracuda.
At Amed Wall, discover white-tip reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, Giant travelly and large schools of bannerfish, snapper, and fusilier, and at the deep slope just after the wall find invertebrates with crinoids and commensals.
Just 30 kilometers southeast of Amed, find the Japanese Wreck, a 20 m steel freighter wreck that is encrusted with sponges, Gorgonian seafans and coral bushes, and inhabited by anthias, parrotfish and angelfish. Or, dive at the Amed Ghost Bay, an artificial that is inhabited by, among others, Ambon scorpionfish, Ornate and Robust ghostpipefish, Mimic octopus, Wonderpus, frogfish, and stonefish. You just never know what you will find here!
If you do not want dive but want to accompany your group to the site, you may opt to choose the Non-Divers option. This option has the same inclusions as the Certified Driver except it will not be joining the diving part of the tour. Instead you will have free use of snorkeling gear so you may snorkel around the area.
After a day in the water, transfer back to your hotel, arriving at around 17:00.
