What To Expect
This tour takes you to the highlights of Brunei's capital. Visit the Brunei Museum and see excellent examples of Islamic art. See its Oil and Gas exhibition, presenting the state's major industry and the exhibition showcasing Brunei's traditional culture.
See the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, one of the most spectacular mosques in the Asia Pacific and the country's major landmark. The Mosque was named after the 28th Sultan of Brunei and find out why it is seen as a symbol of faith. We will also go to the Royal Regalia Exhibition Hall, established to commemmorate the 1992 Silver Jubilee of His Majesty's ascension to the throne. Witness its central feature, a spectacular new circular gallery topped with a mosaic-tiled dome sitting in the cup of the original crescent-shaped building. The largest mosque in Brunei will be one of our stops. The Hassanil Bolkia Mosque has a fascinating sea-blue roof and golden domes that rival those of the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque.
We will also have a photo stop at the entrance of the Istana Nurul Iman which is the official residence of His Majesy The Sultan of Negara Brunei Darussalam. This is the biggest residential palace in the world, designed by Leandro V. Locsin, the National Artist for the Philippines in Architecture and home to a car collection with custom-made Ferraris, Bentleys and 165 Rolls Royces.
