Drive to the magnificent Shivasamudra Falls located on the banks of the Kaveri River. Your chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel and continue to the second biggest waterfall in India.

The location, which forms a boundary to the Chamarajanagar District is one of the first hydro-electric power stations in Asia. Marvel at the spectacular feat of nature which plunges 320 feet into a gorge, breaking into a cloud of misty foam. The waterfalls are surrounded by the lush green hill forests of the Kaveri Wildlife Sanctuary.

Enjoy the tranquility and the sound of gushing waters at the falls before you continue for a drive to Somnathpur. Set during the 13th century, the region is an abode of astonishing Hosyala architecture. The Hoslayas were the last dynasty to rule the area and had played a major role in constructing its temples.

Have a delicious lunch at a local South Indian restaurant before proceeding to the Chennakesava Temple, which is also known as the Keshaya Temple. The temple is built on a star-shaped platform with three carved pinnacles and shrines. It is dedicated to Lord Janardhana, Venugopala and Kesava.

Somnathpur is also famous for sandalwood oil, incense sticks and other handicrafts. Many local artisans are involved in the production of teak, ivory, rosewood, as well as sandalwood carvings.

Your chauffeur will drive you back to your hotel where services will end.
