Enjoy a refreshing break in your holiday with this relaxing, intimate wine tour in Barcelona. Discover the insights of Catalan culture through wine, cava, and gastronomy. Revel in this amazing scenery with two cosy and exclusive wineries, where the most famous local wines and cavas are made.
Experience this incredible opportunity to visit two authentic family wineries, in the two different winemaking regions of Catalunya: Penedes and Pla de Bages.
Start this perfect journey with an exciting wine and cava tour at Finca Ca n'Estella, a small boutique winery built in the late 18th century in Penedes.
You will discover the secrets of the famous Catalan sparkling wine, with a winemaking process very similar to champagne. Explore the production area: these amazing wines are made with the most traditional techniques, they all aged underground in perfect conditions of humidity and temperature to obtain the best quality. Visit the private house which is surrounded by beautiful vineyards, and stop to taste their best two cavas paired with a delicious regional hot and cold tapas lunch.
After discovering the best cavas in Penedes, we will drive by the feet of Montserrat mountain and delight ourselves in the picturesque region of Pla de Bages towards our second destination: Oller del Mas Cellar.
Located in a 10th century castle which keep some of its original walls, this winery is focused on producing organic red wine, as the region has the perfect terroir for growing red grapes.
Today, the owner - the 36th generation of the family, continues the traditions of quality winemaking. Just like in Ca N'Estella, there is plenty of history in the property and in the family, who has been running it for over a thousand years.
You will get to taste three organic wines of the estate paired with an artisanal cheese platter. An excellent way to put an end to an unforgettable wine experience in Barcelona!

This is a great tour, guide (Clara) was very friendly and knowledgeable plus passionate about wine and the two vineyards we visited. 3 cavas and lunch at the first vineyard, then a lovely scenic drive to past Monserrat to the second 'castle' vineyard with one white and two reds. Very good value also - would highly recommend this tour. June

Experiencing food and wine is such a great way to discover the true essence of Spanish culture. The Wine, Tapas and Cava tour, all...owed us to visit two different wine-making regions and taste exquisite Catalan tapas paired with delicious cava and organic wines. Along such breathtaking views of Barcelona's countryside, we visited Ca n'Estella, a cava producing family winery in Penedes and Oller del Mas, a 10th century castle/winery outside of Barcelona in Pla de Bages. The tapas, cavas and the organic wines were all so amazing, and each of the different wines was given the attention it deserved. Our guide Sandra explained the process and differences and/or similarities of the selected wines. She also went into detail about the wine making process, showed us the machinery used and let us discuss which of the wines we enjoyed more and why. She was wonderful, she gave us great insights and information throughout the tour. Her bubbly personality and ready smile was welcomed by us all. I would highly recommend this incredible experience, it was truly a remarkable and memorable day. I can definitely say it was one of the highlights of our 10 day stay in Spain. I went home with three bottles, two cavas (I couldn't decide between the white and rose, so I purchased both) and I opted for a home grown Vermouth as my third bottle. We met wonderful people from different parts of the world and had THE experience of a lifetime... I loved every single incredible moment. more
Our trip was wonderful-- the meeting place was convenient and the guides were punctual. Our guide, Clara, was exceptional- ...she was knowledgeable about the history of Barcelona and the vineyards.Clara was engaging and charming. The vineyards were quite interesting-- the cavas were my favorite--and we were quite well fed with the tapas and cheeses. We had enough time at each vineyard to have a good understanding of the background and of the wines. Most of our group bought cava wines. The second vineyard was amazing-- the 10 century history was quite interesting and the views were amazing. Everyone enojoyed the selection of wines, and again most bought a bottle. We were given plenty of time for photos, and to look around before heading back on the buses. The bus was comfortable, and the air conditioning was welcomed. We loved this experience! more
This was an awesome wine tour - our guide, Clara, was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable about the history of each of the vine...yards as well as all the wines that we tasted. Clara's input made the vineyard interesting and she was passionate about the families that ran the vineyard as well as the wines they produced. We never would have chosen these particular vineyards on our own. Both vineyards we visited had long histories and were beautiful as well as interesting. The Cava and other wines were excellent and we had time at each vineyard to taste the wines and get the historical background for both the vineyard and their winemaker. Many people bought wine at each vineyard. The second vineyard had an incredible 10 century history complete with castle and awesome views. We had plenty of time to take pictures, taste wine and walk the vineyard and grounds before getting to our bus. The bus was first class, luxurious and comfortable for the ride to and from the vineyards. We definitely recommend this tour to anyone living or visiting Barcelona!

Alex was a great guide. Thought it was fun and informative. We lived outside of Napa & Sonoma valley so know a fair amount abo...ut wine making and our preferences. Overall I thought the tour was at least 30 mins too long. We really enjoyed the smaller group size. more
