Montserrat is a Benedictine monastery nearly 1000 years old. Montserrat is thriving with culture: paintings, gold lamps, decorated chapels and so on. Enjoy also the library of 300,000 volumes and the museum where El Greco, Dali, Picasso and other treasures from ancient Egypt can be found.
The visit will coincide with the Boys' Choir Midday Concert, except on Saturday as the boy's choir doesn't sing.

Codorniu Wine Cellars
Cordorniu's cellars are housed in a modernist building designed by Catalan architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch. Inside, guests can descend to the underground wine cellars that are among the world's largest. Cava fermentation in Codorniu can be traced back to the15th century.
Cava Winemaking Process
Follow the process of producing cava from grape-squishing to bottle-labeling. For a period of 9 months, cava is fermented and stored in the cool, dark cellars. Take the rest of the tour on board a mini electric train and finish with cava tasting.
Drive to Montserrat
Fresh from the cellars, it's time to head up for the heights of Montserrat mountain, home to a Benedictine abbey. Drive to the sanctuary as your guide introduces you to Montserrat's history and origins. Marvel at the extraordinary landscape on your way to the top.
Tour of Montserrat Monastery
Let the guide show you around the monastery and other sites that can be visited in the vicinity including the museum, shops and restaurants (own expense). Introduction to the abbey will be made outside in order to observe silence. See the Black Madonna up close. Have time for lunch before leaving.
