What To Expect
Explore Catalonian and Spanish Christmas traditions in this walking tour.
Begin your festive journey visiting the Santa Lucia Christmas Market at Cathedral Square. This Market celebrates its 230th anniversary (1786-2016)and is one of the oldest and most firmly rooted Christmas traditions of Barcelona.
Continue next to the Old Town where you can see Plaça Sant Jaume. Every December, visitors wait patiently for their turn to admire the famous outdoor "Belen" that changes every year. Find the popular and controversial "caganer" among the traditional figures of baby Jesus and the Three Kings, a typical Catalan figure depicting a farmer 'doing his business' (and a symbol of hope and fertility!)
Finish the tour at one of the best Christmas sweets shops of Barcelona for some delicious tasting.
